Who Produces The Most Reliable Power Tools ?

I own mainly DeWalt, but have found their blade change system on the jigsaw to be a pain.
it’s a twist to clamp and when the metals heat they let the blade out and i am forever putting it back in.(bloody frustrating during a job)
All the other tools have been fantastic for reliability and wear.
But you may know different or a best brand.

My best friend is a big general contractor, and I saw a lot of Makita around his place. But I’ll call him for an update as it’s been years since I was out on the West Coast where he is. He’ll know for sure. Tools turn the same direction in the UK as over here, right? Or does everything over there screw backwards?

I use a Bosch and it works great, but many rate Makita as the best. The blade clamping is not a great deal better on any of the power tools even so i’ve never had your problem. I would recommend you find a way of reducing the amount of heat that is generated on yours by trying a different blade type.

DeWalt, Atlas and Stihl have gone downhill over the years as they have started catering more towards the dreaded D.I.why types.
Strangely enough, Samsung have got a very good range of power tools.

DeWalt is pretty good. Personally I like Craftsman, but I have heard good things about Hitachi.

  • KIMOSABI:

    DEWALT,MAKITA,AND ELU,are presumedly the best.

The best in the business for tradesmen is Makita or Hilti depending on what tool you need!

  • Shaun M:

I’ve always heard that Craftsman was the best. You can hardly go wrong with Sears.

my partner swears by dewalt and Bosch.
    They are extremely reliable.
He rarely has to buy new ones as they last for years..
