I Have An Electric Compound Mitre Saw. I Need To Cut A 46 Degree Angle, But It Only Goes To 45. What Do I Do?
cut it the opposite direction at 44degrees
cut it the opposite direction at 44degrees

The first person is right. Cut it at 44 degrees form the back, then turn it around.
.
With all due respect to you, and any other answers; even a high end over priced compound miter saw might vary by a single degree/ or More/ on the measurement/ chart/gauge.
I suggest a couple of things. TEST the issue on SCRAP material for one thing; and depending on WHAT you happen to be mitering; consider that “ONE” degree, may not be “surgically critical.”

Crazy question! I don`t know what this saw looks like but here are some suggestions:
If this is framing, thats close enough. Nail it!
Set miter to 44, use other piece of board!
Clamp a shim in between to make it cut 46.
Borrow somebodies table saw.
I think you`re putting me on!
When all else fails ‘RTFM’
If you don`t know what that means then ‘RTFM’
I agree with Mr.Wolf.One degree off on a cut on trim should not be an issue. Is it base, casing, crown or a picture frame?
It all comes back to the geometry days: 45 + 45 equals 90 degrees. Put another way, the miter saw cuts two angles simultaneously. If you cut a 46 degree angle, It also creates a 44 degree angle by default (46 +44 = equals 90 degree – right angle). Give ten to the first answer.
good luck
