Compound Mitre Saw Advice?

If you was going to cut laminate flooring which is 8″ wide with a compound mitre saw will i need one with a slide on

    Are you just making square cuts? If so, you can use a 10″ or 12″. Cut down, then tip the edge of the board farthest from the fence up to finish the cut. If you are going to make any miter cuts, you will need a slider. A 12″ saw will not cut 8″ planks at 45 degrees. Hope this helps.

    Personally I would only ever burn laminate flooring. Any electric saw you use will probably smash it to bits. Why not try a handsaw with small teeth?

  • no, not if its got a large enough blade,, 12inch etc
